Extracurricular activities will continue to thrive in the Peoria Unified School District thanks to the generosity of our local community. The district received a record $1,640,574.54 in donations in the 2013 tax year.

This record-breaking amount is a $117,234.01 increase over 2012, making 2013 a banner year for the district.

Kindergarten Academy brought in the highest amount, totaling $465,760.50 in donations. Patrons who stopped by the district office to make last minute tax credit donations on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013 brought in more than $33,000 in contributions.

Thanks to the generosity of community members across Arizona, tax credit donations fund extra-curricular activities such as clubs, field trips and participation fees for athletic programs. Contributions for the 2014 tax year can be made anytime throughout the year.

Donations can be dropped off or mailed to the Peoria Unified School District Administration Center or at a local school. Online contributions can be made using a credit card.

To download a tax credit form or make a donation online, go to and look for the Tax Credit button in the lower left corner of the home page.

The Peoria Unified School District, located in the West Valley, serves more than 36,000 students in 32 elementary schools, seven high schools and one non-traditional high school. With ongoing open enrollment opportunities, the district boasts a 94 percent high school graduation rate.
