Livingston Schools Presents Kings Gift Card Donations to Livingston Neighbors Helping Neighbors

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Thanks to generous customer donations at Kings Food Market in partnership with GENYOUth, Livingston Public Schools (LPS) recently received $3,025 in $25 Kings gift cards.

Nourishing Neighbors is a charitable program of Kings Food Markets Foundation and aims to eradicate childhood hunger in America by keeping food banks stocked and supporting meal distribution programs at schools. Through a partnership with GENYOUth, a school-based national nonprofit dedicated to nurturing child health and wellness, Kings identified LPS to be the beneficiary of Kings Nourishing Neighbors Program.

Kings representatives noted that they “value the steadfast leadership that the district and schools are providing for the communities we serve.”

The district recently received the gift cards through Gift Card Bank on behalf of Kings Food Markets Foundation’s Nourishing Neighbors Program and GENYOUth.

LPS donated the funds to Livingston Neighbors Helping Neighbors (LNHN), a local non-profit that assists families within the community that are struggling with unexpected hardship by providing short-term, emergency financial assistance and a variety of in-kind support through monetary donations, non-perishables, fresh produce, meals and gift cards to those in need.

LNHN also manages the local food pantry, known as the Community Hunger Outreach Warehouse (CHOW), located at Livingston Town Hall.
