September is national Attendance Awareness month, and Tucson Unified School District, Tucson Mayor Jonathan Rothschild and superintendents and community leaders throughout Southern Arizona partnered once again to emphasize the importance of being in school on time every day.

Carrillo Magnet School students entertained the audience with their school song, and the student council president introduced the mayor.
