The average teacher affects over 3,000 students during their career. 75% of students say that their teachers are mentors and role modelsAct One would like to celebrate Arizona’s educators with the Tancer Arts in Education Award.

What is Act One? Act One is a nonprofit organization that makes the arts accessible to thousands of children and families in Arizona each year through field trips for K-12 students from Title I schools and the Culture Pass program. 

Who is eligible to be nominated? Any full-time, certified Pre-K through 12th grade AZ General Ed, Special Ed or Arts educator is eligible to be nominated. Nominate yourself or your favorite teacher. The award will be presented at a ceremony at the winner’s school in September. 

When is the deadline? Friday, July 15, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. MST.

What will the winner receive? The winning teacher will receive a $1000 monetary award, a Changing Hands Bookstore gift certificate, an original piece of art and tickets and field trips from arts + culture partners.
