Peoria Unified School District launched an official mobile app designed to enable parents, staff, students and the community with an additional opportunity to stay informed and up-to-date on district news and information.

Highly secure and flexible, the district’s new app is built on a communication platform that permits the district to manage and share content easily. Download the app now on your Smartphone using the links below or search for the app by name – Peoria Unified School District – in the Apple Store for iOS or Google Play for Android.

Developed in partnership with SchoolMessenger, the new app will provide families with 24/7/365 access to calendars, lunch menus, directories with links to school websites and social media sites, events, sports schedules and more. Also included in the app is the ability for a student or parent to submit an anonymous email to report threats to the safety of themselves or others or direct access to call the district’s Safe School Line to leave a message.

“This app is our holiday gift to our community and another great example of our commitment to stay connected with district parents,” said Danielle Airey, Director of Public Relations. “We know that in order for families to remain involved with their child’s school, they must have access to multiple communication channels.”

The Peoria Unified School District serves more than 36,000 students in 32 elementary schools, seven high schools and one non-traditional high school and was the first district in the state to receive the prestigious AdvancED Accreditation. With ongoing open enrollment and unique educational opportunities, the district boasts a 94 percent high school graduation rate. Peoria Unified prides itself on excelling schools, award-winning teachers, high AIMS test scores, specialized signature programs and championship sports programs.
