A shooting early in the morning outside a few schools resulted in injuries to a man.
Around 9:30 in the morning, a man was shot in the Russell neighborhood’s 600 block of S. 11th street, according to Louisville Metro police.
Coleridge-Taylor Montessori and Central High School are both close to the scene of the incident. Although JCPS claims they were not impacted, they were in session at the time.
The victim, according to the police, was alive and awake, and his wounds don’t appear to be life-threatening.
