Do you want to create a new or expand your existing partnership with your local business or school district, in order to help advance student achievement and prepare students for higher education and the workforce?

Then you should consider attending the 2014 Arizona K-12 Business-Education Partnership Symposium from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, January 31 at the Desert Willow Conference Center in Phoenix.

Convened by the Arizona Governor’s Office of Education Innovation, the Arizona Department of Education, the Arizona Small Business Association, and the Arizona Business & Education Coalition, this Symposium will focus on developing capacity to create and sustain business partnerships with Arizona K-12 schools and districts.

Approximately 30 different organizations will be presenting and sharing their programs and partnerships.  Breakout sessions will focus on one of the following categories:  Early Literacy, Career Exploration, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), Professional Development, or Business Initiatives.

Additional conversations include “Guiding Principles for Developing and Sustaining Business-Education Partnerships,” a conversation with funders, and an interactive demonstration on how to take your program planning, monitoring, and evaluation to the next level, using an Education Logic Model Application, developed by McREL.
