The woman accused of killing her two sons in Bullitt County changed her plea to guilty Wednesday morning.
Lucas had been charged with two counts of murder for the deaths of 6-year-old Maurice and 9-year-old Jayden.
They were found shot to death almost a year ago in their home outside Shepherdsville.
The judge questioned her before accepting the change of plea, asking whether she suffered from some sort of mental disability or impaired judgment and understood what was transpiring during the court proceeding.
She was also asked whether she understood that by entry of the guilty plea, she would get her right to trial.
She said she is guilty.
