A 3-year-old has been killed in a tragic accident in Laurel County. According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened Friday at the intersection of Kentucky 192 and Saddle Brook Road when a car struck a dump truck.
Ezekiel Russell was the identified young victim of the crash, officials said. He had been taken to Kentucky Children’s Hospital after the accident and did not survive his injuries, according to Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn, who confirmed it Sunday.
No other injures from the wreck have been reported so far. Authorities continue their investigation into the cause of the crash.
