The two student-athletes and members of the state runner-up football team are being recognized for their efforts on the field and in the classroom.
Cade was named as a First Team Scholar Athlete and Braedyn was selected as a Second Team Scholar Athlete.
Cade has a 4.22 GPA. Braedyn has a 3.73 GPA.
The Valley of the Sun Chapter region includes 184 high schools in northern and central Arizona, including Yuma County, representing a student population of approximately 243,000.
Cade also received First Team All Academic honors from Sports360az.com.
Braedyn received All Academic Honorable Mention and was selected as a Second Team Scholar Athlete.
Both students are enrolled in AP Calculus and AP English this year, along with their other studies.
The week of Jan. 26, Cade was also honored during the 10th annual Johnnie L. Cochran Jr. Salute to Excellence Awards.
Each year the Fritz Pollard Alliance Foundation holds an event in the Super Bowl city to honor NFL coaches, front office executives and NCAA head coaches who have led their teams to Bowl games.
In addition, local high school student-athletes are recognized.
It is the first time a Williams Field High School student-athlete has received this honor.
Cade is one of only 15 Arizona student-athletes to be recognized and the only one from a Gilbert school.
