Kyrene de la Colina opened in 1987 and was the eighth school of 25 to be built in Kyrene Elementary School District. Today, Principal Kelley Brunner is proud to celebrate her sixth year at Colina, overseeing almost five hundred students.

“I love the community atmosphere we have here, and the commitment to doing ‘whatever it takes’ to support student learning,” Brunner said.

The third annual Colina Science Day is also occurring on March 31, 2017. All students spend the day rotating through science learning activities with support from Intel, Arizona State University and other volunteers. Their DISCOVERoom facility, which provides hands-on science opportunities for students, will also be a focus at the event.
