Scottsdale student offered Flinn Scholarship

The Scottsdale Unified School District  is proud to announce that one high school senior has been offered the prestigious and intensely competitive 2014 Flinn Scholarship.

Leah Kaplan, a senior at Chaparral High School, was one of the 20 students offered. Maria Iglesias, a senior at Desert Mountain High School, was a finalist.

“We are extremely proud to have a SUSD student was offered this prestigious award,” said Superintendent Dr. David J. Peterson.

The scholarship covers tuition, other educational expenses, room and board, international travel related study and other benefits. The package is valued at more than $100,000.
