On January 9th, The Scottsdale Unified School District (SUSD) Governing Board elected Bonnie Sneed as President and Denny Brown as Vice President.

“I consider it an honor and a privilege to be able to serve as one of the stewards of such a valuable community asset as the Scottsdale Unified School District. As an empty-nester who has always championed life-long learning, I look forward to a year of shared commitment to continual improvement and excellent service to the entire SUSD community,” said Mrs. Sneed.

“I am honored to be chosen as Vice President. I will do my best to support and encourage our amazing administration, our incredible teachers and all the departments that make education in Scottsdale exceptional.  We are an ‘A’ district, and I will do all I can to promote and maintain our high standards. I promise to remember ‘it’s all about the kids,’” said Mr. Brown.

This is the second time that Mrs. Sneed has served as President of the Governing Board, and the third time that Mr. Brown has served as Vice President. Reorganization of the Governing Board occurs once a year at the first meeting in January.
