Phoenix Union high schools will be dismissing at noon today, however we will remain open until all students have departed safely.    You may assist us in alerting parents.  We are also sending phone and email messaging to our parents.     Here is a letter and message that is being sent out to parents.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Thank you for using your best judgment with regard to sending your student to school today. As a District, we have a commitment to not only provide academics, but also food and health services, as well as a warm, safe place for our students during challenging times, which is why we chose to keep our schools open today.

As of 11:15 this morning, we will provide lunch to all of our students at all 16 campuses. Once lunch is over, students will be dismissed and classes will be done for the day.

However, for the safety of our students and in order to be flexible for student pick up, campuses will remain open and students will remain supervised until all students have departed.

Afterschool athletics and extracurricular activities may continue at the discretion of each school’s administration. As of now, pending any changes in weather, campuses will open at their usual time tomorrow.
