Peoria Unified Gala Event Showcases Talents of Gifted Children azhp-300x152E=MC2 stands for “Excellence=Motivation times Creativity Squared.”

On Tuesday, May 10th, gifted students from all over Peoria Unified will be demonstrating exactly what this phrase represents by showcasing projects created throughout the 2015-16 school year.

Gifted students will have the opportunity to share their passions through projects in areas of their own expertise as well as celebrate the creativity of their peers.

Students submit projects in one of three categories: The Arts, Science & Technology, or Community Service.

Projects will be the innovation of students in a gifted classroom and could include creative writing, fine art, a film festival, fashion design, websites, games, inventions, and much more.

Last year’s E=MC2 event included several incredible projects, including a website for students to share their creative writing, an invention that creates clean energy from the motion of the sea, a picture book that explains chemotherapy to young children with cancer, and many other amazing projects.

All exemplary projects will be entered, and professionals in students’ fields of interests will be invited to attend as mentors to share their expertise and encouragement with the participants.
