On Saturday, April 4, Scottsdale Airpark, 15000 N Airport Drive, is literally closing off their runway so more than a thousand people can participate in Run The Runway. The event begins at 6:30 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m.

This is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for Playworks, a nonprofit that partners with elementary schools with a vision that one day every child in America will get to play—every day. They create a place for every kid on the playground, a place where every kid belongs, has fun and is part of the game.

There will also be a one Mile Kids Mascot Dash featuring your Arizona sports’ team mascots: Sun’s Gorilla, Coyote’s Howler, Cardinal’s Big Red, Sun Devil’s Sparky and Diamondback’s Baxter. All of this benefits Playworks.

Post-race festival will include bounce inflatables, a DJ, vendors, interactive activities for kids, photo opportunities with planes, awards and much more!
