The Joint Legislative Budget Committee (JLBC) issued a revision to the original the K-12 education tax rates for next year FY2022 that were included in the JLBC Baseline Budget.

The revised QTR Rate for Unified Districts is set at $3.5388 which is a reduction of $0.1354 from the FY 2021 rate of $3.6742.

The QTR for Non-Unified Districts is set at $1.7694 which is a reduction of $0.0677 from the FY 2021 rate of $1.8371.

The State Equalization rate is set at $0.4263 which is a reduction of $0.0163 from the FY 2021 rate of $0.4426.

It would take a two-thirds vote of the House and Senate to set a rate higher than the JLBC numbers…safe bet that will never happen.

The numbers could be reduced by a simple majority vote of the House and Senate.
