It was a call for fire departments from Pryor Valley area near Shepherdsville, Kentucky early Tuesday morning at a vacant mobile home. It came just before 5 a.m. and the crews of Zoneton Fire Protection District, Nichols Fire District and Shepherdsville Fire Department arrived to tackle the blaze.
Rich Carlson, with Zoneton Fire, said the isolation probably meant it had been burning for some period of time before it was discovered. The first reports indicated possibly homeless may have been residing in the mobile home, but firefighters found no one inside or around the scene.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and even the officials believe that the cause may never be known. There are still crews working at the scene at 7 a.m., and efforts are being made to make sure that any remaining hot spots are extinguished.
