Future frosh nights are on the horizon

Peoria Unified’s high school guidance departments have scheduled Future Freshmen Nights at each high school to inform eighth-grade students who will be freshmen in 2016-17 about registration procedures.

The meetings will be held at each site as indicated below:

  • Cactus, 6330 W. Greenway Road, Glendale – 6:30 p.m., Feb. 10
  • Centennial, 14388 N. 79th Avenue, Peoria – 6 p.m., Jan. 25
  • Ironwood, 6051 W. Sweetwater Avenue, Glendale – 7 p.m., Jan. 25
  • Liberty, 9621 W. Speckled Gecko Dr., Peoria – 6:30 p.m., Jan. 25
  • Peoria, 11200 N. 83rd Avenue, Peoria – 6 p.m., Jan. 21
  • Raymond S. Kellis, 8990 W. Orangewood Avenue, Glendale – 6:30 p.m., Jan. 13
  • Sunrise Mountain, 21200 N. 83rd Avenue, Peoria – 6 p.m., Jan. 25

Future frosh nights are on the horizon FFIT2At these meetings, students and families will be able to receive information about athletics and extracurricular opportunities such as clubs that are available on campus.

They can also meet their school administration, guidance counselors and take a tour of the school grounds.

Peoria Unified, located in the Northwest Valley, serves more than 37,000 students in 34 elementary schools, seven high schools and one non-traditional school. With ongoing open enrollment and alternative educational opportunities, the district boasts a 95 percent high school graduation rate.
