Dysart Unified is now accepting open enrollment applications for the Innovation Academy at Western Peaks.
The Dysart Innovation Academy will provide a personalized learning environment for students in grades 5-8.
Utilizing digital learning tools and project based instructional approaches, the Innovation Academy will personalize education for students by addressing the distinct learning needs, interests, and aspirations of individual students.
In the Innovation Academy setting, the students move from a “one-style-fits-all” approach to student-centered learning.
Utilizing a 1 to 1 technology approach, students will be engaged in decisions about the what, when and how of their learning.
Students will be expected to master the state standards while building competency in all areas described in the Profile of a Dysart Student.
By creating a competency based environment, students will become independent and innovative thinkers by engaging real-world problems with tangible solutions.
Incorporating project-based learning strategies, students are able to develop important skills that will prepare them for success in an ever-changing world.
As a unique learning environment, students will have 1 to 1 technology use, 24/7 access to objective based learning resources, non-traditional classroom dynamics, and project based instruction integrating communication, creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
