The Coronado Coyotes put on the school’s first 4th- to 6th- grade musical in April with the presentation of “Willy Wonka!”

Close to 80 students participated in the two-day showing of the musical, but it was the culmination of four months of work.

“The whole experience has been very rewarding, seeing the amazing talent of these students, and their willingness to work hard and put forth their best.  And we couldn’t have done it without the wonderful parent volunteers giving their time and talents and the support of all the students’ parents. This really has helped show the community how the performing arts can be such a positive way for kids to spend their time, to develop their skills and make lasting memories,” said Coronado music instructor Melissa Minson, who led the production as the musical director.
