The Building Bridges Program at the Higley Center for the Performing Arts provides the music of three-time Grammy Award Winner Tom Chapin for children and families in two formats – The Building Bridges Classroom Program and the Building Bridges Family Concert.

The Building Bridges Classroom program will be taught to more than 3,000 children in classrooms throughout Gilbert, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Phoenix and Queen Creek.  The fun, interactive lessons integrate into the teachers’ existing curriculum and teach life lessons about diversity, bullying, healthy choices, tolerance, respect and environmental responsibility by using the songs of Tom Chapin.  The program culminates when students are transported to the Higley Center for Performing Arts on March 5th and 6th for three live performances with Tom Chapin.

The Building Bridges Family Concert is open to the public 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1st, at the Higley Center for the Performing Arts, 4132 East Pecos Road in Gilbert, Arizona.  General admission Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for children and can be purchased at www.higleyarts.org or by calling (480) 279-7194.
