On May 24th, the Arizona Mining Association and Florence Copper unveiled the brand new scoreboard donated to Florence High School.

This generous donation came after AMA and Florence Copper heard about the need to replace the scoreboard that was originally installed in the 1970’s.

The scoreboard, located on the football field, will serve football, soccer, unified sports, physical education students, and the FUSD community for years to come.

“The Arizona Mining Association and its members place a top priority on supporting our valued local communities,” said the Arizona Mining Association.  “It is our hope that those who attend FUSD events and observe the scoreboard are reminded that Florence Copper and its suppliers are committed to the overall health and vitality of Florence and the surrounding area.”

“Florence Copper is proud to partner with the Arizona Mining Association to provide a new scoreboard to Florence High School,” said Stacy Gramazio, manager of communications and public affairs for Florence Copper. “We hope that this donation will be enjoyed by the students of Florence for many generations.”

“The Florence Unified School District is grateful for this generous donation,” said Chris Knutsen, superintendent of Florence Unified School District. “This incredible investment by the Arizona Mining Association and Florence Copper Project will provide our students with a great home field experience for years to come.”
