The Creighton School District is proud to announce the grand opening of The Creighton Academy.
The newly re-imagined Creighton Academy will celebrate Student Centered Learning through a dual language, multi-aged, constructivist learning environment all within a brand new school.
While the traditional school environment works for many students, The Creighton Academy is an exciting option for families seeking a different approach to learning.
The unique open floor plan of The Creighton Academy allows for organic, holistic connections amongst multiple content areas and affords students exposure to authentic, real world learning opportunities.
Each learning area of The Creighton Academy offers separate spaces for small group instruction, as well as large flexible spaces for whole group instruction and exploration.
The Creighton Academy students will not only have opportunities to explore rich academic and social, emotional learning content, they will discover how to evaluate their own learning through data analysis, reflection and goal setting.
Personal interest and self-assessed need will guide each student’s schedule of learning activities.
*Due to COVID-19, all Creighton Schools will be starting the school year on August 3 with Remote Learning. Families will be notified once in-person learning resumes. The Creighton Academy will have iPads available for all students and will be providing a Remote Learning program that mirrors the instructional design mentioned above.
