According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, two men were killed in separate shootings within 10 hours of each other at the same recording studio on Hill Avenue in South Nashville.
The first incident happened Saturday, November 2, just after 9 p.m. Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 700 block of Hill Avenue. They found 45-year-old Johnathon Wallace dead in the driver’s seat of a BMW SUV. A woman there was also taken into custody, holding a pistol. Police think it might have started out as an argument that turned ugly and fatal. Detectives continued their investigation, interviewing many people to strengthen the leads in the case.
The second shooting occurred in the early hours of Sunday, November 3, around 6:15 a.m., at the same location. Police found Justin Williams, 35, lying dead in the parking lot with a gunshot wound to his chest. According to eyewitnesses who reported this to the police, 25-year-old Jaden Johnson ambushed Williams, who was sitting in his car, with a pistol. According to the police, the argument that caused them to shoot Williams led to the killing of this man on the same evening.
Although the two shootings occurred at the same studio, MNPD appears to be indicating that the shootings are unrelated to each other. Anyone with information regarding either shooting incident is urged by the authorities to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers may remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward.
