Phoenix police are investigating a double homicide after a shooting killed two men early Monday morning in the West Valley area.
At about 3:20 a.m., officers responded to the scene near 67th and Highland Avenues for reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, police found two male victims, each with at least one gunshot wound. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Details about what prompted the shooting remain foggy, and it is also not yet known to police if any suspects are known or in custody. The area remains under investigation as detectives work to piece together what led up to the incident.
Phoenix Police have asked anyone with information related to the shooting to contact authorities as they continue to follow leads in this active investigation.
