A 2-year-old is listed in serious condition after being pulled from a backyard pool in Mesa on Wednesday morning. Emergency responders were dispatched to a residence near Dobson and Baseline roads just before 9 a.m. on a report of a possible drowning.
Mesa fire officials said the child was already removed from the water when emergency crews arrived. They administered immediate treatment, then transported the child to a nearby hospital, where he continues to be in serious condition.
The incident resulted in a real blur, as the authorities still don’t know how it happened or how long the child was in that pool before he or she was discovered. As authorities seek more information surrounding the circumstances of the incident, the probe continues.
