Police of Lexington are investigating an incident of shooting early yesterday morning that left a child injured on Imperial Avenue. According to authorities, the incident took place at about 2:00 a.m.
The child was rushed to a local hospital, where he was being treated for nonlife-threatening injuries, the police added. So far, no information has been made available by the police regarding who might have fired the shots and what might have provoked such an act of killing.
The police currently appeal for information, as the ongoing Investigation is still open. According to the police statement, any information that can be brought forward by witnesses will help provide leads in the case.
