Officials are searching a fatal house fire that spread in the early morning hours Thursday into downtown Carrollton, according to reports that indicate multiple deaths.
The fire was located in the 200 block of 5th Street, according to a post by the City of Carrollton. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene, and the public is being advised to stay out of the area as the space will be closed for several hours as officials conduct further research.
Officials have confirmed that a young girl, about 3 years old, was rescued from the burning home, though they fear there are “multiple deaths” as a result of the fire.
The cause of the fire is unknown, and further details were not released.
