Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred early this morning in the southeastern part of the city.
Police said officers arrived in the 8200 block of Roy Road at approximately 12:35 tonight following the report of gunshots. When they arrived, they located a man with a gunshot wound in the driver’s seat of an auto. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Witnesses say the neighbors heard an argument before the shooting. An official suspect has not yet been identified, and the officers are asking people in the area to search their security footage and make a call if they see anything.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office will determine the actual cause of death and release the name of the victim after his or her identity is notified.
