Teenage girl hurt in drive-by shooting at Phoenix home, police looking for suspects

A teenage girl was shot late on Thursday night in what seemed to be a drive-by shooting, according to Phoenix police. Around eleven p.m., the event happened close to Romley and 7th avenues. Broadway Road is directly south of Romley. The victim, who was only named as a young adolescent by the authorities, was inside a house when one or more unidentified suspects drove by and opened fire.

The girl’s injuries were not life-threatening when she was brought to the hospital. The gunshot has been described by police as a “cowardly and violent attack.” The cause of the incident is being looked into.
