Early on Wednesday morning, the Memphis Fire Department reports that a fire broke out at a Midtown apartment duplex. This prompted the start of a fire investigation. The Memphis Fire Department reports that they have been battling the fire at the Midtown Rooms on North Montgomery Street for hours. They claim that shortly before three in the morning, they responded to the fire call.
Whether anyone was hurt and what specifically ignited the fire are unknown at this time. WREG is striving to compile more information. As new information becomes available, we will update this article.
