The winning $175,000 lottery ticket that a Kenton County man scratched out left him saying he “couldn’t catch my breath.” Albert Turner of Ludlow is the winner of the top prize in the Cash Blast Scratch-off, according to the Kentucky Lottery. Turner informed lottery officials that he plays the game quite frequently and that he intended to carry on his winning streak after earning $50 on a game earlier this month.
Turner said to the Lottery, “I just scan them; I don’t always scratch them off.” “I scanned [the ticket] twice and it said, ‘See Clerk Corp.'” Turner believed there was a problem with the ticket, but upon scratching it, he discovered he had won the maximum prize of the game, $1750,000, according to the lottery.
He remarked, “I couldn’t catch my breath.” “My heart was crawling out of my throat.” Later that day, Turner reportedly wrote on social media that he had won the lotto and that it was the finest day of his life, according to lottery officials. “When people asked, I said, ‘$1,000,'” Turner said. “I haven’t been able to sleep.” Turner left with $123,000 after taxes.
Turner and his spouse informed lottery authorities that they intended to use their windfall to pay off debt and take a vacation. The Ludlow-based Riverside Marketplace will get $1,750 for selling a winning ticket.
