The sheriff’s office reports that a man who had six outstanding warrants was apprehended in Ohio County after attempting to elude law enforcement.
The incident occurred on Monday, according to the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office, when a deputy was on patrol near McHenry and noticed a suspicious figure strolling along SR 1245.
The man allegedly ran off while the deputy was attempting to obtain information, according to the sheriff’s office.
Authorities claim that following a brief pursuit, the officer apprehended the suspect and recognized him as Morgantown resident Greg Hatcher, 31.
The sheriff’s office stated that Hatcher was in possession of six outstanding warrants.
Hatcher was transported to jail for the warrants and other offenses, such as resisting arrest, eluding police, and public intoxication, after being taken to the hospital.
