On Sunday night, storms moved in, bringing with them a lot of rain and wind throughout the Valley.
Because to strong winds reaching 40 mph, the National Weather Service in Phoenix issued a special weather statement for Maricopa County that was valid until 10:15 p.m. The National Weather Service (NWS) issued a storm watch at 1:00 p.m., predicting showers and strong gusts in numerous metro Phoenix cities through 10 p.m.
NWS Phoenix posted on X, “A special weather statement has been issued for Maricopa County, AZ until 10:15 PM MST”
