Some drivers had a headache due to traffic on Saturday morning after a collision on the I-10, I-17 Stack in central Phoenix resulted in a truck fire.
Around 5:30 a.m., footage from the Arizona Department of Transportation’s cameras appeared to show a semi-truck on fire.
First responders are working to put out the fire and clear the wreckage, so traffic in the vicinity is being diverted.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the collision involved two vehicles.
The number of casualties is unknown, however, according to DPS, none of the wounds are life-threatening.
Later, the DPS informed ABC15 that one person had been arrested in relation to the collision. The DPS states that while the cause of the incident is still being investigated, impairment has not been ruled out.
“We are looking into that; we don’t know why right now, but it might have something to do with speed. Additionally, impairment has not been ruled out “said Melki.
