On National Voter Registration Day, Tuesday, September 26, Kyrene School District will host a second Voter Registration event of the year from 3:00-5:30 p.m. at the District Office, in conjunction with the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office. Voter registration is non-partisan event open to the community and all District personnel. Employees and community members must present one form of government-issued photo identification in order to register. (The first Voter Registration of 2017 was held on Patriot’s Day, April 17 for Employees.)
Kyrene encourages employees, parents, and the community to model good citizenship and civic responsibility for our students by registering. It is also an opportunity to remind individuals that they need to re-register if they have had a recent change in address.
At the upcoming event, staff members of the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office will be in the lobby of the Kyrene School District Office to assist in registering employees and community members to vote. Maricopa County Recorder Adrian Fontes will also be in attendance.
