USA PICKLEBALL SERVES AT CAMP CATANESE AND HOSTS A PICKLEBALL CLINIC FOR 60 UNDERSERVED VALLEY STUDENTS

WHAT: USA Pickleball Serves, the charitable arm of USA Pickleball, the National Governing Body of pickleball in the United States, has partnered with Camp Catanese, a local non-profit, to host an introductory pickleball clinic for 60 underserved 7th – 12th grade students during the Camp Catanese Summer Camp on Thursday, May 30 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at ASU West Valley Campus.

Camp Catanese students will experience a one-hour introductory pickleball session led by USA Pickleball Ambassadors to learn fundamentals of the game and try their hand at the fastest growing sport in America. Students will have one of two clinic sessions they can sign up for during the camp schedule.

The partnership with USA Pickleball and its charitable arm, USA Pickleball Serves aligns with Camp Catanese’s approach to engage students in new experiences, build belief in their abilities and broaden individual horizons through an activity they may not have tried before.

Students will each receive a paddle and ball to take home and continue to play the sport with family and friends.

During Camp Catanese’s overnight camp, students will participate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) activities through the help of volunteer educators and counselors from across the country to aid in creating a passion for students’ potential career pathways.

WHEN: Thursday, May 30 from 2 P.M. to 4 P.M.
