Trump Tears Into FBI Director, Who Questioned Source of His Ear Wound From Assassination Attempt

After FBI Director Christopher Wray questioned whether the former president was hit by a bullet when an assassin attempted to kill him during a campaign rally earlier this month, Donald Trump ripped into the agency chief on Thursday.

FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before Congress on Wednesday, saying, “I’m not sure if I was hit by glass, shrapnel, or a gunshot (the FBI never even tested! )”, but he’s positive that Crooked Joe Biden was ‘uneventful’ in both his physical and mental states. Trump also made fun of President Biden in a post on Truth Social.

Wray stated there was doubt regarding the source of the Republican presidential nominee’s ear wound on Wednesday while fielding questions during a meeting of the House Judiciary Committee.

“There’s some doubt as to whether former President Trump’s injury from a bullet or shrapnel struck his ear,” he stated.

He was answering a question regarding the eight rounds and bullets fired on July 13 at the Butler, Pennsylvania, campaign rally by 20-year-old gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks, posed by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio).

However, the former president insisted that he was shot in the head while manning the stage at the outdoor demonstration.

“Neither glass nor shrapnel were present. It was exactly what the hospital described as a “bullet wound to the ear,” the man wrote.

The FBI director’s comments, according to Trump, “prove that he knows nothing about the terrorists and other criminals pouring into our country at record levels.” Trump nominated Wray to head the bureau during his presidency.

The New York Times said on Thursday that the FBI is looking into what specifically struck Trump’s ear during the shooting to create the injury. Metal pieces and other debris that were found in the stage area following the incident are apparently being examined by agents of the bureau’s shooting reconstruction team.
