At his Florida beachfront home, Mar-a-Lago, former President Donald Trump announced that he would host a press conference on Thursday. This would be his first public appearance since Vice President Kamala Harris emerged as the Democratic presidential contender and chose Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running partner.
On his Truth Social network, Trump advertised the event at 2:00 PM EDT and stated that he was excited to debate Harris.
Earlier this week, he had hinted at a presidential debate announcement after withdrawing from an ABC News debate set for September 10. Although Trump had stated that Fox News should host the debate, he appeared open to changing his mind on ABC on Wednesday.
Speaking to Democratic candidates Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton, he declared on Truth Social that “I will expose Kamala during the Debate the same way I exposed Crooked Joe, Hillary, and everyone else during Debates.” “Only Kamala, I believe, will be simpler.”
Sen. JD Vance of Ohio, Trump’s running mate, has attacked Harris for not scheduling a press conference or interview after Biden withdrew from his presidential reelection campaign and she began her White House campaign. When Harris boards or exits her plane for campaign appearances, she occasionally responds to questions that are yelled at her.
