Staci Blackmon admitted to stealing $1.2 million from her previous job, a posh home builder in Southlake, at her plea hearing. Blackmon started using a senior partner’s bank account in 2019, according to the Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office. The partner passed away unexpectedly.Assistant District Attorney Lori Varnell of Tarrant County stated that Staci Blackmon “literally walked through this with the person she was victimising.” Blackmon befriended the heir of this senior partner and assisted her in locating all of his accounts and other details. Blackmon sent almost $900,000 to TikTok via PayPal using a business credit card. “She was using that bank account that had his life savings in it to pay that credit card,” stated Varnell.Blackmon, according to the prosecution, was tipping social media influencers during live streams with the intention of growing her own fan base. In addition, Blackmon bought a suite for Dallas Mavericks games, opulent travel, and other things. She made no purchases of assets. Varnell stated, “She didn’t put the money anywhere and had nothing to give back that was equal to the amount that she stole.” “She went ahead and stole another $400,000 from the business as well.”
