Authorities say a guy who is accused of killing three people in Elizabethtown, Kentucky on Monday was wounded in the head during a standoff in Hopkinsville. He was then transported to a hospital.
The incident occurred in the courthouse parking lot, according to confirmation from Elizabethtown Police on Monday morning. There were reports of three shots, and the culprit left the county and the area. Authorities said that during a chase involving several law enforcement agencies, the suspect repeatedly aimed a rifle at the cops who were chasing them.
According to police, the man ran into a Hopkinsville church parking lot, where a ninety-minute standoff ensued.Police claim that during the standoff, the man repeatedly aimed his gun at the responding policemen as well as at himself. After the suspect was shot in the head, the standoff came to an end.
