A shooting incident in Lexington has resulted in an arrest.
The shooting took place in the vicinity of Glenn Arvin and Georgetown Road on Thursday at approximately 9:30 a.m.
According to police, they discovered a male shot victim in the vicinity. He was brought to a nearby hospital to receive care. His injuries were considered potentially fatal by the police. Regarding his current state, nothing is known.
Javonte Briscoe, 32, was taken into custody on Tuesday, according to the police, on suspicion of assault, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled drug, and felon in possession of a handgun.
The Fayette County Detention Center is where he is being kept at the moment.
