Spring Hill police warn residents of string of vehicle break-ins

Following many vehicle break-ins that occurred last night, the Spring Hill Police Department has encouraged the public to inspect their cars for pilfered goods.

Police stated on Facebook that the reports came from the vicinity of Commonwealth Drive and Port Royal Road. According to authorities, three individuals were seen on CCTV donning ski masks, blue gloves, and dark clothing.

Police tracked down potential suspects and went after them on foot, but they were not able to take them into custody. In a field next to Commonwealth Drive, where the suspects were running, a ski mask and a gun were found.

Using a drone, police scanned the area but were unable to find the perpetrators.

At first, no more details were disclosed.
