Following a shooting early on Monday morning outside the Hardin County Justice Center in Elizabethtown, authorities are conducting an investigation.
The nature of the injuries sustained by the three individuals who were shot in the courthouse parking lot is unknown, according to the Elizabethtown Police Department.
Police stated that the gunman is “at large” and that they are being sought for by numerous law enforcement organizations. The culprit, according to Elizabethtown Police, may have already left Hardin County.
Elizabethtown Independent Schools notified parents that due to a close danger, schools are on a “soft lockdown”.
The district posted on social media that “a soft lockdown means there is no immediate threat to students or staff.” “School personnel are following emergency procedures and law enforcement has been notified.”
