A fierce fire left little but charred remains of a residence north of Phoenix early Friday morning. The fire started around 6 a.m. at a home on Abbott Street, west of I-17, and brought out an extensive response from Daisy Mountain Fire and Medical crews.
Firefighters worked fast to contain the inferno that had long engulfed the building itself and spread to the surrounding tree branches. Smoke could still be seen pouring from the wreckage as crews put off remaining hotspots to prevent spreading further.
No official statement had been made on whether casualties were reported in the case, and the cause is still under investigation.
