A guy was discovered fatally stabbed on Wednesday morning in Phoenix, and the police are looking into the incident.

Firefighters were called to a scene near 17th and Grand Avenues on July 31 at about nine in the morning, according to Phoenix Police.

At the scene, the person was declared deceased. His name is Gabriel Trejo who was 36-year-old.

“When officers arrived, the victim was found to have obvious signs of trauma,” according to police. The police released additional details regarding the investigation hours after the alleged stabbing.

“After processing the scene, looking through security footage, and pursuing multiple leads, detectives were able to identify 25-year-old Alexander Martin Roman Reyes as the homicide suspect. Nearby, Reyes was found and taken into custody. Reyes declined to discuss the event. One murder charge was filed against him, according to Phoenix Police.

As of present, the incident’s cause is unknown. The police will keep looking into this.
