A man was taken to the hospital and was listed in stable condition after being shot in the leg early Wednesday morning in Louisville’s Wilder Park neighborhood. According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 12:30 a.m. in the 4300 block of South Third Street.
On arrival, police found a man suffering from a gunshot wound in the leg. He has been transported to UofL Hospital, where medics say he is likely to recover.
The Non-Fatal Shooting Unit with the LMPD continues their investigation into the incident. Police are asking anyone who might have information to please contact LMPD’s anonymous tip line at (502) 574-5673 or submit the information through the department’s Crime Tip Portal.
