A man is dead and another is in jail following a hit-and-run crash early Saturday in west Phoenix. It happened around 6 a.m. near 59th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard. That’s where Phoenix police responded to reports of an accident with serious injuries.
Policemen, including some officers, were alerted to the scene. They found a man in one of the two vehicles dead. The man had received extremely serious injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead. On the other hand, the driver of the second vehicle is said to have made a run for it on foot right after the crash.
Within a short period, the police identified the suspect and arrested him, taking him into custody. Both those involved in this incident have not been identified, and neither details of what led to the accident have been unveiled yet.
The scene of the investigation remains open, as the police are still to tell what happened before the fatal crash.
