Man charged in connection with child sexual exploitation investigation in Danville

A Danville man has been arrested after an investigation allegedly found that he had shared online images depicting the sexual exploitation of children. The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch opened the investigation after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

As KSP described it, the tip included “several hundred images” of child sexual abuse material depicting victims less than 12 years old. The undercover work by the agency led authorities to the house of 43-year-old Chris McNally.

In addition to a search warrant, agents reportedly seized equipment the suspects used to commit the crime and sent it to KSP’s forensic lab for further review.

McNally has been served with ten counts of possession of material depicting a minor in a sexual performance under the age of 12 years old. He is being held at the Boyle County Detention Center.

“The KSP has not closed the case and is still investigating,” KSP officials said.
